Organised by The Selangor Turf Club, eleven teams of students from various design schools around Kuala Lumpur converged to compete in the “Horse Transformation Competition” on 12 June 2010. Each team had two weeks to create and fashion horses into works of imagination and fantasy. Raffles students bagged the first prize for their interpretation entitled “Trajan’s Nemesis” and walked away with a cash prize of RM8,000. Whilst the Trojan Horse of Greek mythology represented war and destruction, the group’s modernized version symbolised peace and freedom.
