REC College Singapore announces its Advanced Level Membership with Microsoft IT Academy (MSITA) programme.  The college has successfully incorporated Microsoft educational materials into its courses and curriculum, providing Microsoft learning tools and resources for academic staff to deliver skills and impart knowledge for Microsoft Office, Desktop, Windows, Server & Developer Technologies.  The MSITA programme ensures digital literacy of our graduates, equipping them with cutting-edge digital skills which will in turn add valuable credentials.

 

RDI students bag top 3 awards at the Triumph Inspiration Awards

Raffles Design Institute students bagged the top 3 awards at the Triumph Inspiration Awards 2009, repeating the feat set at last year?s competition.  Ms Ada Yeong was named the National Winner at TIA 2009 and she will represent Singapore to compete in the international competition in Milan.

Raffles College appoints new chairs of Council and Academic Board

Raffles College of Design and Commerce (RCDC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Kevin McConkey as the new Chair of the RCDC Council and Professor Steve Rawlinson as the new Chair of the College?s Academic Board.

Professor Kevin McConkey is currently the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Global Relations) at the University of Newcastle. His appointment as Chair of the RCDC Council is part of a new mentorship agreement between the university and Raffles College. This agreement is a first step in Raffles College?s development towards achieving university college status.

Raffles Education Abacus Partnership ( REAP) Programme

REC College has an entered into a job placement initiative with Abacus Travel Systems.  This industry partnership, rolled-out as the Abacus Partnership (REAP) Programme, seeks to train our Tourism and Hospitality graduating students to secure an internship and/or full time employment in the travel industry. To-date, 15 confirmed job opportunities have been secured with various travel agencies such as Farmosa Holiday, Misa Travel, Safe2Travel, and Global Travel.
