Rotary Jewelry Design Award i s an annual
competition organised by Rotary Club of Singapore East (RCSE).
Supported by SPRING Singapore, Singapore Jewellers Association and
Diamond Exchange of Singapore, the competition helps promote the young
designers such as students for their designs to be recognised in the
market.
RDI participated in this competitions for the past three years and we are glad to groom winners for these competitions. This year, RDI had 13 (thirteen) finalists and out of which 3 (three) students were awarded category winners:
(i) Liza Swandayani (Category B Winner)
(ii) Agustinus Leo Saputra (Category C Winner)
(iii) Syerin Altruena Tjandra (Category C Winner)
Gross?, a worldwide renowned fashion jewellery brand had organised the Gross? Jewellery Design Competition 2007 in conjunction with its centenary celebration event. Themed ?Energetic Future?, the competition aimed in cultivating and supporting youngsters who are interested to be designers as their future career. Students were challenged to design a set of jewellery. Two Jewellery Design students, Ms. Syerin Altriena Tjandra and Ms. Melissa Juwono, both were among the ten (10) finalists among hundreds of entries received in the prestigious international jewellery competition.
Our heartiest congratulation to our Jewellery student- Stefanie Kristanto, on her winning of the prestigious 2007 Manufacturers Jewellers and Suppliers of America (MJSA) Vision Award Design Competition for the Student Category! Her design was showcased at MJSA Expo in New York on March 18-20, 2007.
